27. The Story of the Good Samaritan

Frame 27-00

Sheekadii Wanagsaneyd ee Samaariya

Frame 27-01

One day, a lawyer came to Jesus to test him, saying, “Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered, “What is written in God’s law?” Maalin ayaa waxa Ciise u yimid nin garyaqaana oo rabay inu tijaabiyo isaga waxanu ku yiri, “ Macalin, maxaan sameeya oo aan Jannada ku helaya?” Ciise waxa uu ugu jawabay, “ Maxaa ku qoran shariciga Ilaahay?”

Frame 27-02

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind. And love your neighbor as yourself,” the lawyer said. Jesus answered, “You are correct! Do this and you will live.” “Jecelow Rabbiga Ilaahaga oo qalbigaag oo dhan sii, iyo naftada, awoodada iyo maskaxadada. Waxa kale oo aad jeclaata jaarkaga sida naftaada oo kale,” garyaqankii ayaa Ciise ugu jawabay, “ Waad saxsantahay! Sidaas same kadib waad noolan doonta.”

Frame 27-03

But the lawyer wanted to prove that he was right, so he asked, “Who is my neighbor?” Laakiin si garyaqankii u xaqijiyo inu Ciise saxsanaa, waxa uu weydiyeey, “ Yaa ah jarkayga?”

Frame 27-04

Jesus answered with a story. “There was a Jewish man who was traveling along the road from Jerusalem to Jericho.” Ciise waxa uu ugu jawabay sheeko isaga ku leh, “ Waxa jiray nin Yahuuda oo u kala safarayeey jidka u dhaxeeyay Yeruuslaam iyo Yerixoo.”

Frame 27-05

“While the man was traveling, he was attacked by a group of robbers. They took everything he had and beat him until he was almost dead. Then they went away.” “Inta uu ninki safarkiisa sii watay, waxa ninkii soo weraray niman tuuga. Wax kaste oo uu haystay waay ka qaateen, waanay garaceen isaga ilaa aay meyd ahan uga tageen. Kadibna way iskaga tageen marku dhulka ku dhacay ninki.

Frame 27-06

“Soon after that, a Jewish priest happened to walk down that same road. When this religious leader saw the man who had been robbed and beaten, he moved to the other side of the road, ignored the man in need, and kept on going.” “Isla markaa kadib, wadaad Yahuudiya ayaa wadadii so maray isago safaraya. Marku wadaadki diintu uu arkay ninki la garacay oo dhulka jiifa, dariiqi inta uu ka lexday ayuu ninki iska dhaafay oo safarkiisi ayuu iska sii watay.”

Frame 27-07

“Not long after that, a Levite came down the road. (Levites were a tribe of Jews who helped the priests at the Temple.) The Levite also crossed over to the other side of the road and ignored the man who had been robbed and beaten.” “Wakhatii aan ka fogayn marku wadaadka meesha maray ayaa waxa meesha soo maray nin reer laawi ah ( Reer laawigu waxay ahayeen qolo ka tirsan Yahuuda oo cawiya wadaadka macbuudka haysta) Ninki reer laawi aayaa sido kale iska dhaafay ninkii tuugadu heshay ee wadada jiifay.”

Frame 27-08

“The next person to walk down that road was a Samaritan. (Samaritans were the descendants of Jews and people from other nations. Samaritans and Jews hated each other.) When the Samaritan saw the man, he was filled with compassion. He cared for him and bandaged his wounds.” “Qofkii saddexad ee wadada so mary ayaa waxa uu aha nin reer samaariya ah (Samaariintu waxay ahayeen dad isku dhafa oo ka dhashay Yahuud iyo dad aan Yahuud ahayen. Samaariyinta iyo Yahuudu aad ayeey isku necbaayen.) Marku ninki reer Samaariya arkay ninki dhulka jiifay aad ayuu u naxay. Ninki wuu qaaday oo wuu daweeyey dhawacyadiisi.”

Frame 27-09

“The Samaritan then lifted the man onto his own donkey and took him to a hotel where he took care of him.” “Kadib ninki reer Samaariyaa ninki waxa uu saray dameerkisa waxanu geeyey huteel halkaasna wuu ku xananeyey isagii,”

Frame 27-10

“The next day, the Samaritan needed to continue his journey. He gave the person in charge of the hotel some money and said, ‘Take care of him, and if you spend any more money than this, I will repay those expenses when I return.’” “Maalinti danbe, ayaa ninki reer Samaariya ayaa waxa uu rabay inu safarkiisa sii wato. Ninkii huteelka haystay ayaa waxa uu u dhibay lacag waxanu ku yidhi, “ Ninkan xanane, hadii uu isticimaalo lacagtan aan ku dhibay in ka badan, aniga ayaa ku gudi doona marka aan so laabto.’”

Frame 27-11

Then Jesus asked the lawyer, “Which one of the three men do you think was a neighbor to the man who was robbed and beaten?” The lawyer replied, “The one who showed mercy.” Jesus told the lawyer, “You go and do the same thing.” Kadib Ciise ayaa waxa uu weydiyeey garyaqaankii, “Kee ayaad u malaynaysa saddexda nin inu aha jaarka ninka la dhacay ee la garacay?” Garyaqankii ayaa u jawabay, “ Ka u naxariistay ninka la garacay.” Ciise ayaa ku yiri garyaqankii. “Adiguna sida oo kale same.” Qoralkani waxa uu ka yimid Kitaabka Quduuska: Lukoos 10:25-37
